Need driver's door window ASAP
#1

ANYONE HAVE A SPARE DRIVER'S DOOR WINDOW??

I think this constitutes a bad day. I just discovered that my 92 Coupe (now for sale) was broken into last night. They broke out the driver's door window (crap!)....Which I just had tinted (double crap) and ......of course.........the new Valentine 1 that I JUST bought is gone (Triple crap),..then......when I pulled my insurance card to call Geico,.....I noticed that my policy had lapsed a few days ago (quadruple crap). When I called them to renew (I made a payment a few weeks ago,...but apparently made it to my motorcycle policy not my car policy.........jeez)I found out that my already high 6 month premium of $475 for liability only was now going up to $875 (quintuple crap!)

One ray of sunshine....My apartment agreed to let me put the car in one of their empty garages for a few days until I could get the window fixed.....hopefully they will let me go until Sunday as that is the only day I have to work on things like this(can't afford to pay someone to replace it)

Not a good beginning to my day,...

Sorry you're having such a bad day. I did a web search and came up with a couple of auto glass places. This one site gave me a quote for my area.

www.safelite.com

They would install it for $206 plus tax.

Hope things get better from here.

I called and made the appointment,.,...they called me the next morning and told me that they did not have the glass and that it had to come from Germany,....would bump the price to about $350,....so I declined,....looking for a used glass again to do it myself.

Brian,

I found that OEM Windshields are available from Sekurit Saint Gobain's US distributor

Autover Corporation

2450 Spiegle Drive, Suite B

Groveport, Ohio 43125

Phone: (+1) 6144091901

Fax: (+1) 6144091906

Cab windows are PPG but I assume that the coupe windows are Sekurit. They had a large supply of Cab windshields in stock for a $160 wholesale price. They do not sell to individuals but will sell to your installer.

I suggest you have a local installed contact them.
