NASCAR SMASH Car. C'Mon guys. That's not real racing is it? Give F1 (Michael vs Alfonso) or Rolex with DP (although they do have some bump and runs), or ALMS with those beautiful RS Spyders. Now that's racing.

I had suite tickets offered to me and I'm just not interested enough to go. If free food, tickets, suite, and booze don't work on me then that's saying something!

Standing by the fence with those cars going by at 200+ would almost certainly change your minds. It is very much the real deal!

Cheers,

Ron you what..[?!] As a car guy I'm surprized...

Nascar can be a lot of fun but it is pricey. It's now known as Cashcar.

I'll be watching on my HDTV...

Seriously Pete I had no idea you would be interested. I will keep you in mind in the future. My take is the go fast oval thing is not enough to hold my interest (this from a guy who went to 9 Indy 500's in a row in my younger days) but for me Indy cars have more appeal. The "red" factor of neck at these events is overwhelming even in the rarified suite atmosphere but I can appreciate the average NASCAR fan's enthusiasm and the mechanics of the sport.....just not enough to hang.

Ron, Ron, Ron, As a NASCAR fan and a Southern California to Charlotte transplant I am disappointed to say the least. The only thing better than a suite is the pits. Its a great time. Its loud and its fast. I didn't appreciate the whole thing until I spent a race in the Darlington pits during a Southern 500. A great deal of fun. Next time, grab the tickets and I'll fly out and help you interpret what's going on. (Then we can go to a hockey game and I'll explain that as well

Hope you are doing well.

I'm not a fan, but I might go next year with Montoya driving.

SO next year we will have Montoya and Danica banging doors and paint at Talladega, wooo. What's next for NASCAR, real headlights, croissants instead of donuts, LeMans starts? Sorry NSCAR fans I really can't get excited (as you can tell ) by any type of oval track racing and I love car races. Just call me oval track bigot.
