Yep it is a blast and rewarding this house is now 77 years old. Brick tudor with lots of charachter. Driveway looked to be 50+ years old cracks every 2 feet. It was fun to watch them tear it out. Since November every weekend has been devoted to renovations. I try to do as much possible myself. We have hit the kitchen, Bathroom, floors (original oak), landscaping, paint, My office, all lighting throughout the house. Some of the wood refinishing the house is loaded with original cherry wood casings. All in all I love to do it. Doing the Garage has been by far my favorite project yet. Collecting all of the essentials has been fun too.

Here is a link to some sound dampening products used under laminate floors. Would probably do the trick?

What happens when it gets wet? Can it handle the moisture?

OK, Here's the end result. My kids came over today to celebrate father's day and thought I was squandering their inheritance on my garage, but there are priorities...

That looks very nice. Old Yeller is pretty nice too. How would you rate the install? Did you use the sound proofing stuff?

Thanks, I'm really pleased with the result. It took me about 3 hours to install. Moving everything took the majority of the time. I used a film on foam product from Home Depot ($25 for 100 sq ft) under the tiles.

interesting glitch

i ordered some edge pieces from griot's - found out that snaplock (motofloor) calls female male and male female - that's right - the piece with the big bumps is female and the ones with the tiny nubs are male - exactly opposite of what you would think

so, another week before i get the right ones

The "female" has the loop, or "hole", and you insert the peg or "male" into the "female"! Get the picture?

yeah - looking at the pictures though, you don't see the little tabs, and only see the loops - sure is misleading

HELP!

Does anyone have any extra MotoFloor tiles? I am two tiles short and hate the thoughts of buying a whole other box of 12 tiles when all I need is 2, color Charcoal. Garage looks great and I will send pics out when completed. I ordered (4) 480sq ft each box and 1 trim kit that has an extra 12 feet. I only have a 1 car garage so I thought that would be plenty.

I contacted Costco and am waiting to hear from them, but I do not think they will sell me individual tiles.

Please let me know directly if you have 2 extra charcoal colored tiles you would be willing to sell me.

Thanks,

Steve
