More Stuff F/S
#1

So,

Now we've got the interior pretty well removed...so there is a bit of stuff available:

Black Dash from a '95 coupe.

Entire H/V/AC system...including the compressor, condensor, evaporator and all the controls.

You wouldn't believe how much that stuff weighed!

Flash,

You kow...I really don't know. But I promise to weigh the car before it leaves my mechanic.

We're doing the C/F fenders and hood from GT racing, and Lexan rear hatch...gutting the doors, too. Windshield washers are gone, too. The interior is out, and I'm putting in the Recaro SPG with the head restraint. The roof was replaced with the sunroof-delete panel from Porsche. The roll cage adds about 120 lbs, though.

I wonder if it will get down to 2,500 lbs? That will seem like a nice increase in HP and brake performance.

I tell you, though, I should have taken you up on your old windshield...the replacement one is a 944 version and doesn't fit the same!

Jason, depending on condition (e.g. cracks - or not - by the defroster outlets), I could be interested in the dash. If you'd like, we can continue via email.

That probably would be better...we won't waste everybody's time with our drivel...

The dash itself is not that heavy (20~25lbs). All the other crap behind does add up though - airbags,HVAC, ducting, wiring. That is why if you look thru my center vents you see firewall!

Jason - I thought you decided on FG for the doors?

Eric,

There's a fellow at my mechanic's shop who also has a 968 chassis that he is getting ready to go F-stock, so we're doing some swapping of parts. His doors are gutted and so we are swapping our doors. We both have red cars, too. He gets the weight and I lose the weight!

It just works out that way sometimes...good for both of us!

That sounds like the deal of the century <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> You traded more for less.

The best part of it all, is that we're both happy with the trade!

How often does that work out.
