Sounds like a great time, I expect that my 3.2 lt Turbo conversion will be done at the 1st of Sept and "the Dragon" would be a great place to explore the new HP. Other fun to be had on that weekend, friends of mine at Gundlach Bunschu are celebrating their 150th harvest in Sonoma. It is my duty to head to to Cali and help them drink some of their wine.

Cheers, Joel

3.2 lt Turbo, sounds like fun... Hopefully there will be a thread on that with plenty of pics when you get the car back...

Yea, it should be fun to post some pics and share the dyno stats. If you are coming down to the Hilton Head Concourse De Elegance you can check it out in person. This year they are holding the event on Hutchinson Island, they are re-opening the track and should be a great weekend with some great historic racing.

That sounds like a good time, I will definitely try to make it this year. My parents live in Bluffton so I make it down there often.

Sounds great lets keep in touch. Take lots of pics of the Dragons tail and record some audio of tires squeeling and exhaust pipes roaring thru the hills.

Big Fun.

Keep your radar detector on and your eyes alert - that great road is patrolled by law enforcement from both states! I had a wonderful time up there last year and would have gotten at least two tickets if I wasn't following some motorcycle riders. Enjoy, and good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Hmmmmmmmm. Sept 12-14. I just might be able to make that. In spite of living relatively near it, I've never driven the Tail.

Which PCA chapter is that. I was there last weekend with the carolina chapter and can always be enticed back since I am only a couple of hours away. Weekdays and early mornings are the best times to do the dragon and avoid law enforcement and motorcycle riders. I am in Little Switzerland NC if anyone is close and wants to get together socially or for drives. Phone is 828 385 3100. We are just off the Blue Ridge Parkway an hour north of Asheville. We also have vacation rental cabins if anyone needs a place to stay in the area. Mountainman

heck of an idea - why don't you put together a new thread and start an event (this one was last year)

My buddy with an RX7 invited me on this one. I'm still trying to make it work. Never been to dragon tail but by the look of the map this is something I really want to do.

Guess I never posted it, I'm a little behind on everything. I know of one other 968 that is attending. It should be decent time and not to crowded of a group, I know of 16 confirmed cars that are attending.

I still need to get my car ready, the oil needs to be changed, and I need to figure out why the rear end slides out so much now. Maybe if I can get organized a bit I can get an order in with Pete for some Design 1 suspension pieces if he has any in stock. The poor 968 has done it's best being the leader for GT3's and 997 Turbo's and what not in the past years which just Koni yellows.
