Vinyl Wraps?
#21

Thanks DS, shrink wrap (is Saran wrap a trade name?) seems to be the strong online message I'm getting.  This is a bit difficult for me as I'm not a fan of plastic and minimise out use of placky bags etc etc .... I guess I'll need to make amends some other way  :whine:  I couldn't locate a boxed carrier and didn't want it loaded/unloaded onto a multi-carrier, so I've found a single unit carrier, now I just need to ensure it is protected on the journey.

Yeah, Saran is the brand name of the most commonly found / popular plastic foil food cover .  At least in California ..

Mine was also shipped with a single car carrier .

BTW, I think all plastic is recyclable, so why the concern ?  ( or it’s just the whole concept of the production aspect of it , and improper disposal ..which I suppose happens the majority of the time ..)

Yes, production/ disposal ...... a bit like batteries, is it just a relocation of the pollution, as opposed to low pollution? As for Saran, I've been advised to get "palette wrap plastic" as it's a bit stronger and the rolls are wider/longer, so I think that's where I'm heading. I'll take and post photos next week ... fingers crossed! And thanks for your commentary Smile
