Any recommendations for someone in Charles County? Does anyone have experience with At Speed Motorsports in Hanover MD? It is about 1 hr from where I live, but seems like it might be worth the drive.

IMA, who is a sponsor of this forum is located in Chantilly, VA, about an hour away, visit their website (link on front page).

Yup...unless you find a Porsche specific shop closer, IMA would indeed be your best bet.

Maybe, but it would be a long-shot that I was driving it. Haven't put too many miles on the car yet -- partly because of crappy weather. The guy who I bought it from lived just south of Waldorf, so it has been driving around the county for the last 3 or 4 years. I do plan on using it, but it's coming up on 60K miles and I want to replace the timing belt, water pump, etc., before I start driving it more.

Yes, I stopped in once with my 68, I was told they specialize in rear engine (RR) Porsche's and have little experience with our FR setup. I went elsewhere but appreciated him being up front with me.

BTW- Paulo at Auto Centro in Rockville MD is very good. His hourly rate and communication with the customer is top notch.

No problem. My car is there now between a Lambo and a Ferrari.
Give Paulo a call and describe the work. He'll give you a detailed quote up front, should there be any unexpected hick-ups he will call first and discuss it. Upfront and honest.

I did end up going to IMA. Picked up my car yesterday. They did all the belts & seals on the front of the engine, water pump, etc. They have a nice shop and definitely seem to know what they are doing. Real easy to work with. Worth the 1 hr. drive.

Getting ready to take my Audi there, did not know they did our 968s as well.
