No way...really??



I stick by my original suggestion of simply having your wheel recovered. It will essentially be new and probably nicer in the long run.

yeah it's the same one. Jay suggested I buy this wheel and just have it repainted. What do you think?

Leather dye (and carpet dye for that matter) usually yield the best results when going to a slightly darker color. I can't be sure of the results you may get going from one blue to the other.

I mentioned that to Jay and he said dyeing it won't be a problem... this is such a dilemma!

Be aware that the leather dye in the can is might not actually be dye but more likely paint like vinyl dye (NOT). I would have suggested the re-dye thing but I would be worried it might come off in the wear spots, ya know, where your hands are 99% of the time.

Just think'in out loud again, wife says it's dangerous at my age <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
