Lo-Fi Version of the site
#1

Tristan emailed me inquiring about the broken link towards the bottom of every page. This link is now fixed, I knew about the problem but put it on the backburner. I could not figure out how to edit the footer/wrapper. Anyway I figured it out and the Lo-Fi version of the site is fixed! I am not sure if this is a feature anyone will use but there is a Lo-fi version of the site. There is a click-link at the bottom of the site (Lo-Fi). Anyway check it out I guess it is a good alternative to those who do not like the Graphics and prefer a simple version of the forum. We now have something for everyone.

BTW The lofi version is read only... Great for the lurker right?

The lofi version is really very nice for the Pocket PC. Try it on your smartphones and Windows Mobile devices. I can read the forum from anywhere, not just at the PC!

Thanks for creating this.

Now can you fix the picture thing for those of us who use Firefox and not a non compliant browser like Safari and Explorer. [Image: poke.gif]

The low fi version is thoughtful but not entirely functional. The first time I looked I randomly went to:

The pdf links are dead ends. Not sure about any other things, I stopped looking when the first trail I followed I hit dead ends in two clicks.

In general:

Graphics are certainly a mess on my computers, I'm not exactly the first guy to notice that.

If I bother to click on "Garage" at the top of the pages I get an error about not having an ionCube PHP Encoder. Somehow I've made through almost 50 years of life and 30 years of using computers without an ionCube and haven't missed it in any other context.

I'm not picking a fight, I guess Eric has put a ton of work into this site, and I'm obviously getting a lot more than I'm paying for <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> and it's a lot more "alive" than .net; but I would personally appreciate a little less platform-based-exclusivity and little more ground-level functionality.
