Hello from Hackettstown, N J
#1

Hi all:

Bill G., here in Hackettstown, NJ. I've had a 944S2 since July, 2000. I just sold it, and the happy buyer is picking it up this Saturday.

So, now, I'd like to move up to a 968. I have a bit of prep work to do, such as convincing you-know-who the merits of continued Porsche ownership. Hopefully, it won't take too long.

From what I've seen of this forum, it looks like it is a very active group of car enthusiasts. I'm happy to be a member.

With kindest regards, Bill G.

Just tell "You know who" about all the money you'll have to spend on your girlfriend and other bad habits if you don't purchase a new Porsche to spend all your elective cash on....works every time

Welcome,

Welcome. We need to start a thread on convincing arguments and one liners that work on you-know-who. Flash can pin it so we can all access the resource when required.

All modifications performed on my car are described as "Standard Maintenance: (e.g., my differential was "open", open is bad becasue things fall out, therefore it needed to be replaced). Also, the mere mention of an annoyance calls for full replacement of system (i.e., "Honey, you're brakes are squeaky", translated into full replacement of all component parts and while you're in there drilled rotors, stainless lines, etc., etc.)

JMHO,

Jay

Sometimes I find that the response well look, here I am with a hobby that you know and see what I'm doing which is innocent and safe as opposed to me being out doing god knows what. There are others of course that I use. I think they work but Liz doesn't always agree. Perhaps she just doesn't understand! Lol
