I Hate....
#21

yeah - i've had at least 2 monitors for the last 12 years. macs have been set up for that for a very long time, right out of the box. for editing, you need 2 and it's better to have 3. they are all only 26 or 27 though.

i have noticed, even on the new dell, that the machine slows down and gets a bit weird with the second monitor. it's just not as smooth moving from one screen to the next. that's something the macs never did. not sure what that's about, but i suspect the PC just can't handle splitting the desktop as well. it could be because one screen is touch and the other isn't

I have three monitors -

A 32 inch Sony Bravia HD 720 P and two 19 inch Optiquests

The optiquests need seriously replaced, but I keep them because they are square

I built my own pc, so the specs are there to run them -

Antec Gamer's Case

AMD FX 8 Core Black Edition Processor 4.0 GHz, 16mb total cache

16 gig Ballistic ram

2 Nvidia GeForce GTX 640 Vdeo Cards

LG HD Blue Ray DVD

Corsair 1000 Watt Power Supply

and lots and lots of hard drives and goodies

I build them right, I just hate them when the hiccup
