Hwy. 120
#1

Drove Hwy. 120 in CA this weekend. It's one great road.
It links Hwy. 395 with Yosemite National Park. There's a
$20 fee as you enter Yosemite, but it's worth it. Yosemite
is a great national park on it's own.

With an elevation of over 9000 ft. I did feel a loss of
power while trying to pass someone. It's an odd feeling.

I didn't take any photos, too busy driving. Also, the
only Porsche I saw on my whole trip was an older
model 928.

Highway 120 has some really fun parts. If you're heading back south, you might want to check out Highway 25 if it's on your way. It splits off from 101 just a little south of Gilroy and parallels 101 for about 60 miles or so to 198 where you can hang a right and hook back up with 101. I discovered 25 about twenty years ago when it was included in a Car and Driver story about the ten best drivers roads in America. It's gorgeous, fun, and relatively unknown. Enjoy your drive.
