Really nothing to do with the 968 , but maybe there are some other offroaders here , so wanted to share this .
I started in the Tuareg rally 2013 with my KTM 500exc , did some work to make it dessert proof like extra fuel tank carbon carter protection , and added a bag with saftey stuff (rockets blanket etc water ) for spending the night in the desert .
There where 240 compettitors on motor bikes cars and a few trucks .
It is a desert race with a lot of sand-dunes , hard rocky terrain and some mountain passages , 7 days in a row and to expect a min 6 to 10 hours on the bike every day , depending on you skills and class you drive in .
I started en finished with the pro's , there wher a 120 off them in total , i finished as nr27 , wich was way over my expectations , since it was the first time i was surfing thru the sanddunes on a motorbike .
Drifting (showing off ) thru a qued (dry river bed )
Meeting the locals
Difficult downhill with big rocks , behind little wall it drops straigt down a 500 feet .
i was one of 24 with no time penalty's and being able to complete all the tracks , before it gets dark they would take you out off the race , but you could start the next day but where given a time penalty .
