???? Okay, so what happened? He put the track tires on and completely forgot to put the lug nuts on? Or did someone purposely take them off?

The "what happened?" is really interesting - does anyone change tires by simultaneously removing and replacing all corners without lug nuts, and then go around doing all of the lug nuts? Certainly not an approach I've ever used.

yeah - that made me wonder too - if it was sabotage, you'd think somebody would have been doing some pretty animated screaming - if it was staged, i don't get the point - i didn't read anything about it, and now can't load it to go back and read - was it for a commercial or something?

The very amateurish nature of the video, and some of the comments, don't convey the impression that this was staged. But, I guess anything is possible - but why would one stage this???

I have read from multiple sources that the issue was that the lug nuts installed were the wrong thread size... they went on ok, and felt tight, but due to having the wrong thread size, as soon as there was a significant side load, they ripped right off.

That story - as sad as it is - makes some sense.
