Hello from Bend, Oregon
#1

Just took possession of a 1994 968 Cab. Had "brand new" 20 year old tires so first thing was to get new Pilots then tackle the 20 year old Alpine stereo.

Welcome!

First thing is to verify the age and condition of the timing belt.

If it fails, bad things happen...like valves hit pistons. 968s have what are called "interference motors ".

So, personally would not drive or even start the car until this issue is addressed.

Best wishes and again welcome to the forum!
