I am the proud owner of a 1992 Amazon Green Cabriolet. Its my first porsche, I have owned it since 2005. only current issue is trying to get the cabriolet top in operating order.

Aloha to the forum. I believe there is another member there; which island are you on?  Nice sounding car, nice color!  So most people just leave their tops in manual mode because many things break in "automatic" mode.  The rear "bow" in NLA, for example.

Hi Mike,

 

You will find that most of us on here have "converted" our tops to manual mode by disconnecting the gearbox from the top hardware. There is not a lot of down-side to this change, but making it automatic again can be a bit of a hassle.

 

Learn to use the search function, it's up in the right corner. Just click the little gear thing next to the search field to go into the more advanced search mode. Lots of info there on tops and other things.
