Hi from Copenhagen..
#1

Hello everyone,

I am Alex and lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. I am the very happy owner of a 1992 968 manual coupe. It was originally sold in Italy and was imported to Denmark in 2014 with just under 100.000 kms on the clock. Its a sunroof delete car with option 220 LSD in midnight blue with black interior. Having spent most of its life in the warm climate of Italy, the car is completely rust free and all the aluminium is also in very nice condition.

I absolutely love the car and its such a joy to drive, whether its on a spirited sunday drive with other Porsche owners or its a week long trip to Classic Le Mans with the wife and camping gear. I have upgraded my 968 with a Promax chip, cat delete, 18" TechArt wheels, Sport seats with heating, strut brace, M030 koni struts on lowered springs and a few other minor things.

Before the 968 I had a very nice '89 944 Turbo S with some upgrades, and last year we also added a 964 Turbo to the garage, also in Midnight blue. I still drive the 968 the most though and I can't se myself sell that car ever..

I look forward to reading through all the forum posts and interact with other 968 owners..

Best regards - Alex

Velkommen Alex. Godt at se endnu en 968 i DK.....I guess I should switch to English so we can communicate better. As you can tell I am a Dane as well running a 1994 convertible in California.

Thanks for the warm welcome..  Smile

I have already spent a fair few hours reading though engine topics, as I have just started doing a tear down of my engine to do a top end rebuild along with all the "while you're in there" stuff. Car is snugged up in the garage for the winter, so I have a few months to do the work and it will keep my busy through those long winter evenings..  Smile

Kaj, you are right that 968's are a very rare breed here in DK, even though there are a few more now. I know of 8 cars on the road, and I think two convertibles has been imported, but I am not sure if they are registred here and on the road yet. When Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix was held in August, Porsche DK had an exhibition there and wanted to display as many of their cars as possible. I signed up with both the 968 and my other Porsche, a 964 Turbo, but Porsche wanted me to bring the 968. So I guess our cars are quite a rare sight these days, not least here in Scandinavia..  Smile

I truly love driving my 968 and I have been toying with the idea of adding a 968 cab for relaxed summer cruising. Only problem is that we've run out of space, but I am still keeping an eye out for a well maintained cab in a special color..  Smile
