The swap meet is this coming saturday april 26th. Check the posts on "Hershey Swap Meet" Don Hassenbein is the key person. You probably need one night (Friday) at the Holiday Inn as the trek to the swap meet is very early.

blue - this is the text of Don Hassenbein's last email on Hershey. He runs the PCA 968 Registry and also happens to live in the area. We are meeting at 7am Saturday at the Holiday Inn to caravan together to a parking area specifically for 968s. Of course you can also just park in the main lot and find us.

Hope to see you there!

Ladies & Gentlemen,

968 GATHERING, APRIL 26 IN HERSHEY AT THE CENTRAL PA REGION SWAP MEET:

Kathy Downs, Annapolis, MD is bringing her 1992 Horizon Blue Met. Cabriolet so we are now 28 cars and 39 attendees. Kathy was able to get a room at the Holiday Inn right after the cut off date. Paul Anthony (pdanth@hotmail.com) is looking to join us and asks anyone who has a Holiday Inn reservation, but cannot come, to contact him to take over the room. For anyone else who is now thinking of coming, check the Central PA Region website at www.cpa-pca.org/swap - they have a recommended list of Hershey hotels but it will be difficult to find one now. If you find a hotel, let me know. I will be sending a separate info email to all those who have indicated they are planning to attend, with more detailed info as to the schedule.

And, digging further in my email I just found this schedule:

The tentative agenda is as follows:

Friday, April 25: I will be at the Holiday Inn around 5:30 pm and plan to welcome any of our 968 Register members and join them for dinner.

Saturday, April 26:

- 7am: I will be the lead car and start forming a Caravan in the Holiday Inn parking lot. Please provide me with your Swap Meet parking fee ($10 per car) at that time so that I can pay for the entire Caravan at the Swap Meet entrance. As in years past, they will direct us to the 968 parking area and the Peoples Choice Concours area (additional $10 but you receive a gift plus have a chance to win a Concours prize)

- 7:30 am: Caravan departs for the Swap Meet. Police assistance at the main light.

- 7:45 am Arrive at the Swap Meet entrance, Don pays and parking in either 968 area or Swap Meet Concours area

- 8am Check the vendors for those parts you need or Porsche memorabilia.

- 11:45 Recommend you have lunch on the grounds with other 968 Gathering attendees

- 12:30 to 1Pm Concours awards

- 1pm Leave for Tech session at the PCA 968 Register/Hassenbein garage (353 Oak Lane, Palmyra, PA)

- 1:15 pm to 2:45 pm Tech Session hosted by Pete Fitzpatrick (owner of an original rare Turbo S from Germany and RS Barn). Pete and his associate Max will cover Service & Preventive Maintenance Issues and Racecar Conversions (Pete also owns a rare 968 Firehawk).

- 3pm 968 Gathering in Hershey ends
