Hello to all
#1

Hello fellow Porsche lovers!
My name is D. and I reside by Harrisburg, PA with my baby Pandora, a '92 968 manual coupe. Thanks to a car fanatic/dealer for a father I have had a love for the automotive world for as long as I can remember. Years before I could drive legally, I drempt of owning a 968. In the past I have owned a handful of 944's and a 951 which I regrettably had to sell when my father passed away. I look forward to sharing stories with and learning from you other proud Porsche parents out there. Thanks!

Welcome...there are lots of great owners in the mid-atlantic region and we get together from time to time. Keep an eye on the events section. You've found the best place for 968 info!

Welcome.
Curiosity makes me wonder why the use of "Amazon" in your furum id.
Having lived in Brazil for 20 years of my life, when I see the word "Amazon" my mind goes right back to Brazil. But... then your use of the word "Amazon" may have a completely differnet basis. Wondering if you are willing to satisfy my curiosity. No worries, either way!

Well Langley, There are a few reasons for the use of "Amazon". The most simplistic is that Pandora is Amazon Green with tan/black two tone interior. When I see your name it makes me think of Langley AFB, were you military by any chance?

Welcome,

You just missed Hershey by only a couple of weeks. There's no doubt that more events will unfold through the Summer and Fall.

The best thing you can do is get out and meet other owners. There's always someone willing to lend a hand, or advice.

Regards,

Jay

Welcome, from another Amazon Greenie.
Pandora sounds like an interesting name. Is there a story behind it?
Any reference to Greek mythology?
I named mine Athena.

Love amazon green! Having lived in Brazil can you tell is why Porsche named this fantastac paint color "Amazon" green? Do the jungles look blue sometimes?

Maybe it is because the Amazon is like a "sea of green"!

Hi, Amazon. I named my car "the 968" because there's a 944S sitting next to it in the garage, so when I say "the Porsche" my wife will know which one I'm talking about.
