Hello to all,
#1

My name is James Cadman, and I live in Alexandria, Virginia. I've had a number of second cars over the years, (not my daily drivers) for a number of years now, but this is the first Porsche (968) I've ever had.

I swapped out my 88 560SL with 70,000 mi. on the clock, for this 1992 968 Coupe (117,000 mi.) black on black + a few bucks. I'm ok with the deal, and looking forward to a new relationship with my new/old Porsche.

First step is to have the alloy's re-finished that are all showing some curb-rash...she runs strong and just having had $7000.00 worth of work done on her by the previous owner, (Invoice's in hand) I feel a little ahead of the game...fingers crossed! Thank you for any info./advise you might offer. "I'm the new guy on the block"

Thank you in advance,

James F Cadman

Did you buy it from Intersport in McClean? I saw one in their showroom when I was picking up my car after having it serviced. It no longer shows up on their website.

Yes that's the one...there was a Carfax issue that has been worked out. Clean Title...

It looked to be in really good condition cosmetically. I didn't look under the hood or kick the tires. I've been happy with the service that I've gotten there, if you don't already have a mechanic in mind.

Thanks Greg, ya, the car is ok. Took it to a place in Fairfax today to have the wheels re-finished.... Intersport will replace the rear wiper motor, not working. Omar and his team seem to know their way around Porsche's. I'll be going there for sure.. Best,

James
