Hello sad about my 968
#1

Hi Guys,

I have a 93 968 and have not been able to drive for last two years

So I had a guy working on it for last few years long story anyway

finally got it back and drove for a few days then one day started it up

and all warning lights came on and no oil pressure!!

Have not been able to get the guy back out to look at it and am very

upset about the whole thing, anyway I don't know what to  look for

for to check it. Any suggestions is appreciated

Thanks,

Marcel in VA

Hello Marcel,

This is a very troubling first post, as we don't like to hear about 968s that aren't bringing smiles per gallon, but of course that happens.

Some of our friends in your area have used IMA Motorwerke in Chantilly with very satisfactory results.

Hope they are able to help you,

If he has done the belts, I bet the crank pulley bolt is loose

Hi Marcel. Welcome.

Waylander has a point there. If that bolt is loose, or the o-ring that makes the oil pump run is missing or kaputt, there will be no or too little pressure. Hopefully no damage has been done.

There are some very helpfull people here who know these engines inside-out, so you have come to the right place.

Find the appropriate topic and start a new thread. It keeps things organised.
