I am Gary Grigsby, a 64 y/o P-Car enthusiast from Lexington, KY.
I purchased the 1995 968 coupe in 2000 from the original owner in Louisville, KY for 21, 000 dollars. Save for a small Balance shaft leak, the car was a garage kept cream puff, Carrera White with Blue interior.
Shortly after purchase, the car was extensively converted to a PCA-then F Class- club race car. Stuttgart Motorsports and Ashley Wheel and Brake- both located in Lexington-primarily were the shops responsible for the race car conversion.
The car was extensively campaigned in the PCA Club racing series from 2001 through 2007 at tracks such as Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, Putnam Park, Barber Motorsports Park, Daytona, Carolinas Motorsports Park, Sebring among others. Additionally, the car was utilized for PCA DE events between racing weekends.
From 2005 through 2010, I competed in the Koni Challenge Grand Am series with a 2006 911 supported by Euromotorworks based in Indianapolis, largely garaging the 968 during that time.
Since 2010, the 968 has been garage kept and driven sparingly-only around the block monthly, or for service.
The car has been taken out to the track recently and oerfoms very well as before. It remains yet to be seen if the car will be returned to active track duty in the near future. Gary
