Hello from the other side of the pond.... UK
#1

]Hi all, just found this forum, im just about to start a new build and thought this is a good place to share

ive had a number of Porsches in recent years, and am about to build another, im starting off with what was my daily driver, an 88' 951, i had been using it for about 2 years every day, and unfortunately it was a little neglected, and now the sills/rocker panels are rotten, as are the rear axel mounts, so its donating its running gear to a new project..

a 92' 968 coupe, currently in Horizon blue metallic

Ive got a non sunroof roof to delete the sunroof from the 968, and a full respray, colour undecided

Welcome,

We will be interested to hear (and see) about your progress.

What colour are you thinking?

Pearl sounds really nice, what color is the interior, and is it in good shape?

When you get to 5 posts, I'd like to see a picture of that interior...hope it's nicer than it sounds <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/glare.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I like the idea of Pearl with red interior, just not that interior.

Difficult to envision an appropriate exterior color with your current interior, so good luck with the choice. I lean towards Pearl White also because it goes with just about anything.

And welcome to the 968 Forum. You'll find the site useful, informative, with no shortage of opinions. Enjoy!

Hello and a Big Welcome to the forum. I for one like the idea of the interior burgundy pinstripe velour. The seats are warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. The weather in and around London is not all that bad. I lived in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, for a few years and loved it. Please keep us posted on the build.

Cheers,

Larry

Hi, I tried again several times but I still can't get it to come up for some reason. Maybe someone else can try to bring the photo up.

Worked for me too, but I think the photo was flipped. It looks like the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

yep, different, I like that....... to me its very 1980's, strangely it really looks good with the Zermatt paintwork, and the seats are very comfortable

ive got a complete carpet set in Dark Blue in the 968, a black carpet set from a 91 951, burgundy, black and blue dash boards (although the plan is black or dark grey alcantara covered dash)

im thinking a pair of Bride or Recaro bucket seats, rear seat delete, black carpet, all the roof trim, pillar trims, dash, centre consol in alcatara that way what ever the colour it should all work together
