Hello from SW Ontario Canda
#1

Hello all 968'ers,
I am from Woodstock Ontario canada.....halfway between Toronto and London Ontario. I am the proud new owner of an awesome 1995 968 coupe(actually the 12th last 968 to be made) and am excited to join this forum. I would like to discuss and learn as much as possible about my new little beauty....

Nobody seems to want to say hello back so I'll welcome myself into this forum(and add to my previous introduction)....maybe it's just a slow time of year( I hope). I'm new at all this forum/blog stuff so bear with me. I've just purchased my 968-(3 months now) and love it....running smoothly in the canadian winter..although changing the tires to winter did way too much to the perfect rims that came with it (...now not so perfect...)...anyways.I'm from a small town in Ontario and now on my 5th Porsche ("79 924....'85-1/2 944........then '81 924.......then '87 924S(still running great).....loved them all) but now have ventured into the ultimate of Porsche....my new '95- 968. Test drove a '84-911 Targa Carrara for a week before purchase but fell in love with the look...sexy style...colour and perfection (major head turner) of the 968 I'd been looking at the week before....so I was hooked.(didn't even know it existed because of it's rariity-even after 20 years of Porsche ownership of other models)
So hope to hear back from anyone........just even to say hello (now that I have elaborated a little more.....),
Your fellow 968 enthusiast,
Michael B

Welcome from Nova Scotia. I have two 968s and this site has helped me to keep them on the road. I am up your way a bit and maybe we can get together on one of those trips to talk cars.

Hi Michael,
Welcome to the club. I'm not on the forum a great deal but it is a terrffic place to share info, stories, and become more educated about our cars. I'm from London originally but live in Oakville, so maybe when the weather changes, we can connect for a pint or two.

We're not ignoring you, trust me. There is way too much activity on this forum to do that!
Welcome from the snow free west coast of Canada. Nice to have another Canuck on board, too bad you all the way over there by T'rona, there's about 6 of us on this side; any more and we could actually have a meet.

Welcome also from another member in Beautiful British Columbia!
I am also a newcomer to the 968 world and was also not aware of the 968 when I was seeking out a 928 to purchase. Because of the rarity of the 968, I have submitted an application for Collectors plates and insurance with ICBC (Insurance Corp. of B.C.). I will find out in a few weeks if it will be approved.
Beware of the fact that when browsing through this forum, you will begin to realize that purchasing the 968 was only the beginning of your cash outlays. All the neat stuff you will stumble across in this forum could be the beginning of a series of purchases...
Oh, well, it's only money!
Look forward to "seeing you around".
