Hello from sunny London
#1

Hi everyone,

Just joined the forum.

I am an aging Porsche guy, started out as a Porsche mechanic back in 1988 for 6 years, then moved into IT (big change I know!), but never stopped loving Porsches.

I have raced in many UK championships from 2004 through to 2018, from a 924 (winning the championship in 2005), then onto a 968 and a 993, then Boxsters and a Cayman.

Took a break from racing around Covid times, now back in a 968 track car for some fun.

Not sure how many UK owners on here that still track or race their 968?

Thanks for reading,

Gary

Welcome.  I used to track mine, but sold it a few years ago, who sold it to a guy who is on this forum, but track 968's are EXTREMELY rare birds.  I swapped mine for the Radical SR3 you see in my avatar.  Whole different beast, both in terms of speed, and of the rate owning one incinerates money.

I tracked 968’s for years but moved on after an issue. They are indeed a rare bird on the track although you can see them in club series racing.

Still have a garage queen but it is up for sale.
