New member from the UK

Hello,

I'm Damian and I've just become the next owner of a Midnight Blue 1994 968 Sport.

The car has KW V3 installed, custom exhaust, larger brakes and a previous owner installed a lovely Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB for something a little more up-to-date in the audio department.

Previously I've had a few Porsches, a 996 Carrera 4S and a GT3 so the 968 is a welcome return to the brand.

Really good to have found this site, I hope I can contribute.

Damian

Cool car...had to look it up (as an owner of a 1994 midnight blue 968 cabriolet, I wondered about a 1994 midnight blue "968 Sport" - - didn't think it came in midnight blue) . As it turns out, Americans not only couldn't get Club Sport, they couldn't buy a 968 Sport:

A UK-only version called "968 Sport", was offered in 1994 and 1995, and was essentially a Club Sport model (it uses CS chassis numbers) with various model year 1994 option packs to create the P35 "CS UK Luxury Pack". This added an alarm, power windows / mirrors, electric release boot, central locking, sunroof and cloth comfort front and rear seats (the same front seats were a non cost option on the CS). With the added electrics the larger wiring loom was used. At £32,995, the 968 Sport was priced £4,500 lower than the standard 968, but had most of the latter's desirable "luxuries" and consequently outsold it by a large margin (306 of the 968 Sport models compared to 40 standard 968 coupés).
