Hello All,
Last December while window shopping eBay, I came across a gray* 968 that was bid up to only $2500 with a reserve (not met). I bid 6000 in an attempt to flush out the reserve. Not high enough. From the not-always-reliable AutoCheck, it seemed that this was easily at $10k-12k car, especially since all service receipts were included. Long story-short, I bid $9500 and won it for $8902.
Did I notice the car was cross-country in New York? $1300 later I got the car after being shipped cross-country.
*The care is actually Aventurine Green - pretty cool. Despite a worn power steering rack, I got a pretty good deal (130k mi).
It's very cool to have a dash with no cracks for a change.
Since then I put on 18x8 and 18x10 911 C4S twists and I'm in the process of installing a big brake kit (996-based). Timing/balance belts and tension rollers will be done right afterward.
Regards to All,
Robert
