Mike,

I assume you mean at Oregon PCA events? I just joined a week ago. Have yet to attend. Are you a member also?

I guess my car is now a bit less stock. I took off the stock 16" which had summers on them and got a set of 17" from a Boxster.

I think some others on this forum have these.  7" width on front, 9" width on back. Offset ET55 for both. Stock 17" tire sizes.  225/45R17 and 255/40R17.   Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06. Not sure I can post photos yet due to being a newbie with a low post count.

Just meant Im sure Ill spot you, PDX is a small town and I have seen one other 968 on the road (at the Woodburn cars n coffee, natch) since acquiring mine. Im in the PCA but dont get out much due to the fam.

Check out the post about lift bars, Ken over by Mt Tabor can set you up and they are an invaluable wrenching aid esp if youll be swapping rims seasonally.

you are right it is a small town. I'm having the timing belt changed at A & P and Paul mentioned he knew of a pair of black ones and one which was nylon wrapped in a kind of burnt orange color.  Is the later yours?

That is indeed my car! Previous owner had it wrapped in 3M liquid copper vinyl. It shows pretty well. The vinyl is per the manufacturer only good for 3 years. Ill need to decide this year whether to keep it on or go back to Slate Grey. It seems to hold up great in the Oregon Sunshine so I may just keep it as-is for a few more years.

Alan and Paul are really reliable and honest. Its a good shop. Ive had to fine tune a couple of things Ive had done there but they also have saved me a lot of cash by either recommending against stuff and/or letting me bring in my own parts. Sunset reportedly hired a transaxle tech so thats another option.

I think a fellow on here bought one of the black ones and drove it back east...
