While not a new Porsche owner I bumped into 968Forums.com while researching my 968 lineage. I currently own the 1995 968 which I'm using for my summer daily driver and road cruises as well as a 1989 951 (944 Turbo S) which I track and use to play on the freeways where things are a bit smoother than city streets.
I'm the 2nd owner of the 968 and thought I'd do some research during the COVID "shutdown" which has given me some time to twiddle a bit. This 968 is an Option 718 from an early 1994 build. It's one of the 113 vehicles built as Midnight Blue Metallic over Marble Gray/Black interior. Bought with 72K miles back in 2014, it now has 130K miles so, yeah, I've done a bit of touring in the upper midwest considering the car is parked for 6 months every year. (We've got some great roads in eastern/northern Minnesota and western Wisconsin! As added enjoyment I've made a few trips to the Black Hills for the yearly PCA Dakota Region's "Run for the Hills" event in late August.)
Hope to see you on the road!
