Hello from Kirkuk, Iraq!
#1

Hey all,

I'm currently deployed to Iraq (as a civilian) and found this forum while surfing the internet on my free time.

I'm from Arlington, Texas. If anyone is in the area, maybe they've seen my 951 around the I-20/Hwy 287 area.

I won't lie, I don't really own a 968...but I wanted to see what was up over here in the 3L world. I'm currently installing a 3.1L engine in my 951 and am always looking around to see if there is anything I can learn from.

My knowledge of 968s isn't as large as my knowledge of 951s, but I am looking for a 968 for the wife and would like to expand my knowledge base for when I do eventually own one.

Thanks guys, and I hope to learn and hopefully contribute to this site!

hello Darwin....this is a great site to learn a lot about the 968. Hope you stay safe over there and it all ends soon.
By the way....what's your theory?

I'm asked constantly about 951 vs 968 due to easy boost upgrade for 951.
I always tell people to buy 968, especially for street use. It's just a better package. Easier to drive, more torque , better gear ratio and Sexy.
Buy one now for your wife

Hello Darwin,
This is a great source for information as well as inspiration. I have had my 968 since 2001. A friend & I just got a 968 track car & are loving it.
Thank you for what you are doing in the sand, stay safe & come back & buy a 968 for your wife, Becare full though, you might like it!

Welcome Darwin.

Pete, when asked, I say the exact same thing. The 968 is by
far a better DD. The gear box is much more enjoyable.
