Hi all, my name is Zach and I recently purchased the Cobalt Blue 1992 Tiptronic Coupe that was on eBay a month and a half ago. A friend (986boxster1998) and I drove it back 1200 miles from the east coast to Iowa, and it drove flawlessly. The car now has 155k and still runs well. Upon receiving the car we also got all the service records since 2004 totaling over $8000 including flex plate and timing belt/water pump done in the last 10k miles. It needed a good cleaning and still needs buffed to look good. I also am planning on having it repainted next spring. Mechanically it is in awesome shape, with one minor vibration at 1500 rpm which sounds like a heat shield rattling. The car's interior is classic grey and came with Heated Sport Seats which condition are 6.5-7/10 in my opinion and 17" C2 Turbo (C2 Turbo (Cup 1)) wheels. The tiptronic is actually really nice, and perfect for a daily driver, which this will be. I originally wanted a 6 speed, but the technology behind the tiptronic was years ahead of other brands. When driving normal, you can not even feel the gear changes, it is that smooth.
I also recently purchased a set of stock 16" 968 wheels which I just put blizzaks on, and a set of 18" oem solid turbo twists. I am really looking forward to seeing the blue with turbo twists next spring.
I definitely have some questions, and will not be afraid to ask in the forums. This isn't my first Porsche, I had an 84 944 that I replaced a cylinder head on and resold, and an 83 944 that I parted out, but I really prefer the 85.5+ interior.
Also, I would like to thank Jeff968 for the information he gave me about the car before I took possession of it. It was invaluable and he is quite the asset to the 968 world.
