Hello from Chicago
#1

Purchased 1993 Cab with Tiptronic trans. Have owned numerous 944s and currently race a 1898 S2 down at Autobahn Club in Joliet. Have actually rebuilt 944 manual trans., but don't know anything about Tiptronics. Hope to learn here from the DIY forums. Just need to know how to do trans fluid change at this time.

Forgive them!!....we have lots of funny guys here....but they can be very helpful when you are in need....Usual they pick on my spelling, but I am happy they found another victim this time.

Congratulations.  The tip is easy to service just hard to find the filter/gasket "in stock".  Be careful with the aftermarket suppliers on this as the tiptronic trans was used in some Audi's and I got a trans filter kit where the gasket was 100% correct but the filter was slightly different and the pan would not go back up correctly from Rock Auto or some place like that....

I think the Tiptronic Cab combination is the best of both worlds !

When buying Porsche Parts try Sonnen or Porsche of Delaware as they work on similar margins...nobody else even comes close IMHO

you will need a lazer thermometer for the trans fluid change, the levels are all done at 80 Degrees C
