Hello Dp 951 From Miami Florida Porsche water cooled

Hello ,

Fellow 968ers , Ive been interested in the 944 line for over 20 years I started out with one 944 na 's 1n 1992 then moved to the 951's and now the 968's ( still have atleast one of each) .. As we all know where they started as a base plate form car. I ve been modifying and restoring these cars for 20 years now, and I simple live to drive them . I currrently own a couple cars 2 968s and a few 944's as well as their air cooled brothers. all in all ,all Porsche are just fine cars.



( in the right hands of course)



The only thing i can say bad about this line of cars is some of the people all the suspose porsche lovers who lurk on these types of forums and ebay a simply srtip and cut up car that can be put back on the road , it just a shame the people can destroy such a fine car just to make a few bucks , but the still call them selves Porsche fans.???

Welcome I share your look on the people that buy these fine beauties just to dismantle them. I knwo one guy who is just leaving his outside not driven and rotting, drives me crazy <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/whine.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

there is another way to look at it. like organ donors, you're "saving the life" of a number of cars. since many parts are NLA, this is the only recourse.



i think i'd rather see fewer 968s out there, but all of them in better shape, than a bunch of them all run down. we have 944s for that

Yah, I guess u r right, I hate seeing any 968 that is run down there were so few made.

I know of two within 5 miles that are sitting out in the elements. One of them is a one-owner car and running. I told the gentleman he needs to get it out of the sun....he just doesn't drive it.

it's becoming a very common tale. because the cars are old, never caught on, and aren't worth anything, they get deprioritized by many, and consequently get run down. sad but true
