Hello from Burlington Ontario Canada
#1

Hi!

I recently acquired a White '87 944S re-engined with a '92 968 power plant. I've joined the forum to learn more about the 968 engine and the 968...a beautiful car.

I track the car at DE events. Car is street legal with original interior except track seats and harness bar.

Planning to do some preventative maintenance to the engine this spring. Unfortunately no maintenance records came with the car. Car was stored for 11 years. The engine was professionally installed per Appraisal Report (dated 2003) and a second opinion.  I assume the belt and water pump were done at installation time. The ECU came chipped. PROM has a hand written sticker that says HEIM968 (?).

Car came with Porshe Sport Suspension (Koni's). Installed Tarett Engineering sway bars front and back last year...why not? Car corners well.

Cheers!

Hi, welcome here.

If the belts are 11 years old, change them befóre you start the engine! Even if they look brand new...
