Is that local expert Bob Blackwell, if not you should get to know HIM !

Good luck and let us know how the search goes. If you tell us about a particular car maybe someone here can do a drive by and report back to you.

Regards,

Jay

Hey Everyone - it's official - I'm a proud new owner of a 94' Coupe 6spd in Grand Prix White. Only 35,xxx miles on the odometer. Thanks to Bob Blackwell for helping me discover this hidden gem in my own backyard (New Mexico). His knowledge of and enthusiasm for the 968 is fantastic. More details and pics to come - thanks, Derek

Good job Derek! Welcome to the 968 Forums, where you can find out all you need to know about these rare and wonderful Porsche 968s. I hope you will bring your 968 out to the track this Sunday and drive it the way it was intended to be driven. We have several loaner helmets and Instructors to show you the safe way around the racetrack. Looking forward to seeing you and your beautiful 968 at future events. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Derek, by the way, you will not have to race against "ol blue" since your recent purchase is stock it will be classified in S01 and I am in P05 class. Another "by the way" you will be the only driver in S01 Class so I predict you will do quite well. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

If you have fun with that, you should both come up to our Drivers Education event and Time Trials at Pueblo Motorsports Park Aug 1-2. It's a 2.2 mile road course with a nice variety of turns and elevation change. Not such a bad drive from ABQ, either.

Bob - doubt I can make the event on Sunday. I haven't had a chance to register the car yet and I've got 20 tons of Santa Fe Brown 7/8" rock in my driveway. That was part of the deal with my wife, I could get the car if I finished landscaping the back yard. Truth is I want to get a comfort level with the car before I try to track it. It's a bit different than my 928 S4 Auto. My left leg is somewhat atrophied, but getting stronger each day. That's probably why you're such a fan of the Tip. I'll get out there soon.

Chris - not sure if you remember me, but we met at the Parade Golf Tournament. Thanks again for coordinating the event - I had a great time on a beautiful course. May be I'll see you in Pueblo if I can make it work.

Here are some pics from the first visit - I'll share more once I get her cleaned up.
