Hello Everyone,
My name is Rick Teer and I've been a Porsche owner since 1988. I'm a member of the Alabama Region PCA and have occupied every club officer position multiple times. Started PCA Club racing in the early days with a 930 and about 10 years ago decided I needed to race something a little more economical so I bought a friends 1983 944. Big difference in 930 power and 944 power but did learn a lot about 'momentum' racing. I'm surprised it took as long as it did, but last year decided that I needed more power (imagine that), so bought a 3.0 ltr variocam motor from a friend with multiple 968's and tranplanted it into the 944. Very pleased with the ease of the conversion and it resulted in about a 70% increase in HP, so been fairly pleased with that too! I am so fortunate to be here is good 'ol Alabama where we have one of the finest racing facilities in the U.S. at Barber Motorsports Park, home of the Barber Vintage Motorcycle Museum. Another wonderful place.
