Hello from a new member!
#1

I live in Charlotte, NC and am the proud owner of a 1992 Gran Prix White 968 coupe with white powder coated wing and cup wheels. Never raced or modified. Total mileage of 69,000 due to my being stupid and letting the car sit in my garage for 5+ years. Found a great mechanic in Charlotte, Christian Family Automotive, who have helped me sort things out and get the 968 back on the road--all fluids changed, new tires, belts, fan relay. Pinion bearing replaced at 45K.

To make a long story short--I let the car sit because I didn't know what to do about an electrical problem. She was killing batteries because of a short somewhere in the electrical system. This caused the car to drain the battery and raise/lower the power door locks when turning on lights, hitting bumps, turning on wipers, or looking cross-eyed at the center console. Car will be roadworthy again today or tomorrow. I'll take pictures and post.

Looking forward to learning more about keeping my 968 roadworthy and driveable. It's too nice a package to let it go to seed!

Welcome back to the drivers seat. Where was the short? Sounds like the car was possessed.
