New 968 Coupe owner in Louisville KY
#1

Hello all. I just finalized my deal on a 1992 Guards Red 968 Coupe with 58,000 miles. I am a sales consultant at Blue Grass Motorsport Porsche here in Louisville. I've been waiting on a nice, clean, fairly inexpensive Porsche to get traded in. After 2 years I finally jumped on one. It's a 6 speed, sport seats and LSD equipped car. (And few other options that don't matter ) it just had the clutch and timing belt replaced by out dealership about a month ago. The radio doesn't work and the sunroof gears are stripped but other than that its a strong car. It's a blast to drive. I've had an 86 951 in the past. It was very similar but this feels a little more solid. The rear suspension feels better as well. I plan on mostly street driving this car along with a season of autocrosses and two or three DE events per year. this car will not stay stock by any means. Anyways, wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Cheers!

You will get the autocross bug soon, i have won 2 seasons in P4 class, and it has been a great car for it.

Start looking up parts in your parts dept. M030 swaybars for sure, and good tires, maybe an extra set for autocross.

Nice score on the car, have fun.

The autocross bug is something I haven't been able to shake. I've been doing it since 96. Thanks for the welcoming!

Welcome to a fellow Louisvillian. There is another red coupe in town owned by a guy in PCA. He has had it out at the concourse at the downs the last couple years. Have fun with it. I will drop by the dealer some time after the weather breaks and say hi.

I'm a musician as well, I used to think that would be a good band name. Now it's just a forum name. Cheers!

there are quite a few musicians here, hence quite a few drummers as well, since drummers tend to hang out with musicians. i'm just not sure how they can afford to maintain a 968 on what dominos pays.

ba dum bum
