Hello Dp 951 From Miami Florida Porsche water cooled
#1

Hello ,

Fellow 968ers , Ive been interested in the 944 line for over 20 years I started out with one 944 na 's 1n 1992 then moved to the 951's and now the 968's ( still have atleast one of each) .. As we all know where they started as a base plate form car. I ve been modifying and restoring these cars for 20 years now, and I simple live to drive them . I currrently own a couple cars 2 968s and a few 944's as well as their air cooled brothers. all in all ,all Porsche are just fine cars.

( in the right hands of course)

The only thing i can say bad about this line of cars is some of the people all the suspose porsche lovers who lurk on these types of forums and ebay a simply srtip and cut up car that can be put back on the road , it just a shame the people can destroy such a fine car just to make a few bucks , but the still call them selves Porsche fans.???

you can see my passion on my link

Welcome I share your look on the people that buy these fine beauties just to dismantle them. I knwo one guy who is just leaving his outside not driven and rotting, drives me crazy <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/whine.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

there is another way to look at it. like organ donors, you're "saving the life" of a number of cars. since many parts are NLA, this is the only recourse.

i think i'd rather see fewer 968s out there, but all of them in better shape, than a bunch of them all run down. we have 944s for that

I know of two within 5 miles that are sitting out in the elements. One of them is a one-owner car and running. I told the gentleman he needs to get it out of the sun....he just doesn't drive it.

it's becoming a very common tale. because the cars are old, never caught on, and aren't worth anything, they get deprioritized by many, and consequently get run down. sad but true

"because the cars are old, never caught on, and aren't worth anything,"

Now that's just plain hurtful <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.png" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
