I'm trying to get smart on 968s prior to buying. I'm pretty impressed with what appears to be exactly the type of information I desire lurking down at the bottom of the page - looking forward to reading some technical stuff and DIYs both of which I always enjoy.

I'm also pretty impressed by this car after a few weeks of reading up on it. I've been a long time fan of the front/rear/H2O cooled family, and this thing seems like a really solid piece. I'm pleasantly surprised how affordable low-mileage units are now days - and not every Jamoke has one.

Best to you all,

Bill

Hendersonville? - used to live there too. Spent many, many hours on Old Hickory skiing, fishing, cruising - good times. What is going on this week?

And, of course, welcome.

Thanks to all, especially the idea of having a knowledgeable member pre-screen a car for me - that's really awesome. Is there a better stash of Porsche ads than the standard AutoTrader and Cars.com? There are a couple of seemingly nice coupes on AutoTrader - a blue one in Springdale Arkansas and a white one in OKC. Anyone familiar with either by chance?

rxter - Last weekend was some sort of Poker Run on Ol' Hickory. I have a friend of a friend who has some sort of cigarette-style boat, and those two yay-hoos swung by and took me on the final run and the lash-up in Drake's Creek. There was no sign of any national economic distress in that cove, I can tell you. We tied up to a 40+ ft Fountain with what appeared to be two Pro Stock drag car refugee hood scoops on the motors. Yikes - what do these people do for a living?....

Almost all of the interesting cars that come up for sale are either posted or reported here. Most people comb through Craigslist, Cars.com, E-bay, Autotrader.

There are some very fine examples for sale around the country, and prices can't be beat right now.

Oh man you are bringing back memories. I love the sound of unmuffled big block chevies roaring down Drake's creek in the morning....
