Hello from Silver Spring, Maryland
#1

I recently puchased a convertible 1993 Porsche 968 with 100k miles that is a beautiful looking car. I added a performance chip to make it a lot more enjoyable to drive at slow speeds. I do not have to worry about stalling the car anymore and I no longer have to be so heavy on the foot. I had the timing belt replaced along with the distributer and water pump. What other maintenance will the car need?

I store the car during the winter at my brothers garage in Ohio so I about to bring it out of storage, and I was wondering

can I remove the double storage assembly? Are two back seats hidden under the double storage assembly? Can it turn my two seat car into a four seat car?

welcome and congrats

read up here on issues and maintenance items - there is a ton of information here, and way too much for a single thread to handle

as for converting the cab to a 4 seater, it can be done, in fact in ROW cars it was a normal thing - local seat belt laws may prohibit it though, as there is no way to install a shoulder belt safely

Yes, welcome. I'm local to you in Sterling, VA so don't be a stranger! We have a pretty regular crowd that gets together in the mid-atlantic region so make sure to seek out those events and join us. What color are your rear cubbies? I may be interested if you do the conversion and want to sell them.

Welcome aboard! Check your maintenance records, if any were provided, and see when the cam chain and chain guides were last inspected or replaced. The belt is important, and so is the chain--if it goes you'll have a major headache in your wallet.

Put the top down and grin. You made a good choice to go with the cab.
