Only ‘ 92s used R 12 ?    Mine is a ‘94 , so does that mean that it has a factory set up for 134 A,  but they still used the hoses from the R 12 system ?

Correct , i have a 92 and worked on many other 968  , the filter  dryer in the sytem is different model , the rest hoses etc , it is all the same .

I put in a new condensor and rebuild the pump and put the new(different) oil in ,  when i retrofitted it to r134a and it workes fine ever since .

Just a 10% less r134a in the sytem , if i remeber correct .
