Hazaard/Emergency Switch
#1

After reading a post on using a 944 emergency switch to clean up the dash I purchased one on ebay for $10. I'm in the middle of installing the switch but I'm having a problem getting the dash piece off. I removed the center section, two screws on the right, one screw inside the temperature sensor(?) but the dash piece refuses to release. Seems to be sticking around the glove compartment latch. What am I missing?

I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I purchased a 968 hazard light switch for my first 944 because i thought the red looked better for a hazard light switch. My buddy is doing the same with his 944 Turbo.

I used the 968 switch in my 951 :-)

on the side of the dash next to the glovebox, is a triangular trim piece with one screw.
Remove it, then you'll see the other screw holding on the trim.
Becareful, the temp dislpay wire harness in pretty short.
