Hasegawa 968 model
#1

Just finished building the Hasegawa 968 model and have some observations. 1/24th is too small to build as a model some parts just can't be applied easily especially by someone that has big fingers. The directions were lacking as my Japanese is lacking. They supply a Turbo and NA engine but no instruction on the NA engine. I made my a Turbo. A lot of the parts can never be seen once the car is assembled. Anyway, it looks okay after all is said and done. It was difficult to find "Adventurine" oops I mean Aventurine Green paint, ended up with British Racing Green as the closest color. It could have been worse and been a 1/43rd model. I already have one of those in Aventurine Green. These models are hard to come by and the $30 was certainly cheap enough, just wish it were a larger scale. Ramble over. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Thanks for the hints - I'll be building mine soon...

Anyone have a set of 1/25th scale turbo twists?

I just bought a Boxster Special Edition model that has Turbo Twists optional, and I am not using them. The model is 1/24th scale though. If you think those will work, let me know.

The 968 Hasegawa has scaled version of 16" wheels and tires. You may need scaled 17" tires for those rims!

I was thinking about that, but 1" of real life difference when you're talking 1/24 or 1/25 scale is hardly any difference at all. I've got other tires in my collection...
