It has been three years since the site was taken over from Eric Sandoval, who’s was forward thinking enough to create this great site and we will always be grateful. I haven’t heard from Eric in a long time, but we hope that he is well and has continued success on his journey.
The best part of being a part of 968Forums is that this site is, and remains, all about YOU. When we first got involved, we knew that the most important thing to do was foster the community and the rest would take care of itself. This year, Melva and I made it out to Paso Robles and dragged a few other East Coasters with us. I hope that this trend will continue n the future. Flash made it to Newtown yet again, and a good time was had by all.
2012 will be a year of great change. We have many new members and the map is filling far and wide. The sun never sets on 968Forums and we welcome our many new members/contributors. We have been constantly upgrading the site and the change has been (mostly) painless. Thanks to all those who work behind the scenes to make the changes look flawless and easy. There will be many more changes to come this year, but no matter what happens, we hope that the respect and good will that surrounds this site will always remain intact.
We appreciate all of the contributions made, but you, the users of 968Forums.Every question asked and answered add to our collective knowledge. As time goes by and parts become more and more difficult to source, we will need to rely on each other for support and creation of engineering and work-arounds.
I would like to add a special note of thanks to our friends, supporters, advocates and sponsors. We did not enter this project to enhance our wealth…so we have not been disappointed. We give huge thanks to those of you who help to defray the costs of maintaining and upgrading this site. Your financial support is important, and we are grateful to those of you who feel this site is worthy of your contribution.
Regards,
Jay

Congratulations on a job well done. I for one appreciate the information available on this forum, the civil discourse, and perhaps most of all the friendships.

It is so great to be able to tap into the collective knowledge of others who have been there, done that. And as Jay said above, a resource like this will become more valuable as time goes on. Thanks for being there! I look forward to a time when I have something to contribute to the knowledge base.

Unfortunately, Facebook is the only means that I have for keeping up with what my 7 nieces and nephews are up to. this generation doesn't use the phone or email for that matter. I've also found it useful to keep track of what my other winemaker friends are up to. If you are smart about it, Facebook is actually a good means of attracting business to an e-commerce site. I spend about 1/2 hour a day scanning it.
