Hi - from Mid Hudson Valley Region New York - 45min. North of Manhattan on the Hudson River.
I admire the 968 however I own a '64 356 C coupe Slate Grey / red which is destined to become an 'Outlaw 356' with a front engine cradle supporting a 265HP Turbo Subaru flat 4 with either a G31 Turbo 924 5spd or 968 6spd Trans axle outback.
Years of year round use as a Heavy Duty Volkswagon during my Mothers years as a Probation Officer in Middlesex County - Mass. - a broken Spider Gear & a Roller Crank with botched cam gear install leaves little for a Concourse Restoration.
New pans & longitudinal stampings , hood - door lowers - left front fender kpl. - the list is long
but with great Porsche Support Talent from fellow Hudson Valley PCA members - this Outlaw
should prove an interesting specimen once rolled out.
The 356 was purchased New from Automotive Engineering in Lexington Mass. - at that time
the well connected Ownership had the original James Bond 007 Aston Martin movie car in their Display area - banged my shin on the left rear extending axle shaft with the Knock Off spinner used to chew up passing vehicle sheet metal ..
I gave the car a shake to sense how taught the suspension was - the car rattled & creaked everywhere - it was beat .
According to Bloomberg News - it'd sold recently for around 3.5 million - a similar Vintage went for $250K . . should have made them an offer back then !
