I have joined the 968 Forum to learn more about this great car. My wife & I purchased a 1992 red cabriolet Tiptronic with 30,000 original miles for me to use for my daily ride. My previous Porsches were a 1971 T and a 1972 E. The first was stolen and the second departed when the Bosch mechanical fuel metering pump went south. So after a 27 year gap I am returning to my tutonic roots. Here's an irony: The path to my 968 started with searching for a sports car for my wife. I had enjoyed an Austin Healy 3000, a Triumph TR4 and of course the Porsches but she never had a sports cars. So we bought her a 1987 928. After suffering a severe case of Porsche envy I bought the 968, driving it back from LA in one sitting. The 968 in nicknamed Donner and the 928 Blitzen.
