Greetings From Burnham On Sea
#1

Hello!

Just thought I would introduce myself, I am the proud owner of my first 968, I have had the car since the 19th January, and am still in a daze!, bought it via an ebay 'classified ad', from a Porsche specialist on the outskirts of Bath here in the south west UK. He had the car on his stock for the last 14 months, as its not the most 'popular' of colours!.

It has a FULL service history, very pampered, no expenses spared etc, three owners (in the UK), as its a 92' spec, but was imported into the UK from Singapore in 1999, it has full grey leather interior, unusually though, no sun roof?, but has full air/climate control, so no great loss. Have uprated the ICE, for a new double DIN satnav/DVD/multi-media system (Kenwood DNX5220BT) , and will be fitting later this month key less remote locking.

Have been a Porsche fan for many years, and already had a mint 1985 924 Lux on a SORN tucked up in her garage, as my 'summer drive', although she has only done about 1000 miles in the last 9 years!.

My every day car has been for the last 4 years a Type R Honda Civic, which is a great fun, 'pocket rocket', but I aways hankered after another Porsche, so took the plunge, and the Honda will be on Ebay by the end of the month.

Hope to make a lot of new 968 friends here!

Regards

Welcome,

You'll make loads of Porsche friends here. Several members are in the UK. THis is a very congenial, if sometimes wacky, group, with a wide variety of opinions - and they are not afriad to use them. Lots of deep and broad knowledge about this car here as well. I learn more every time I log in.

Photos please....

Wacky is an understatement.

Let me guess, you got a purple 968?
