Graphite? on Lug Nuts from dealer service?
#1

Just took off the wheels on my new to me 968 and noticed a gray power-like product (anti-seize?) had been applied to the lug nuts - by I presume the Porsche service dept who worked on this car few weeks ago and installed new tires.   I've taken off many wheels in my life and never seen this before - is this a common practice and what is it?

Visible around of the lip in the picture.

the nuts are very light alloy and have a habit of getting stuck if, done to tight or the paint has gone from both surfaces, so a little graphite is probably not a bad thing, the better stuff would be nickel grease,

remember you only do the nuts to 96FT/Lbs or 132 NM,
