Well, the end of an era comes to a close <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Brought on by our gas prices and economic situation...I'm heading off to sign the car over to a guy that's flying in from California. He lives in the LA area, so if you suddenly see a beautiful Amazon Green 968 that you've never seen before, it's probably my old car.



I'll be lurking around the forum - helping folks with whatever corporate knowledge I have accumulated over the years...

As you're leaving the 968 community... I'm joining it!. I did see your 968 ad, looked like you really took care of it. It just had too many miles for me. I needed something in the low 100k to below 100k. But certainly loved the shape of your car.

You'all will not believe this, but it's true...



The guy from California purchased the car Friday around noon, he then headed up IH35 to Dallas to see his son...



Where Ih35 splits to E and W, the clutch pedal went to the floor!!!!!



He had the car towed to Zim's autotechnik in Dallas and they'll replace the three items, slave master and hose and get him back on the road Monday...



WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I can believe it! It happened to me the same way. Sorry you had to part with the 968 but it sounds like you got out of it at an opportune time. I just got "ol blue" back after an extended stay in the shop for oil leaks, valve job, clutch, motor mounts, etc..etc.. drives like new now but I shall have to keep it a very long time to recoup my cost. Nothing I would like better! Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

no Porsche's for a long time - I love the cars but you have to admit they're a money pit...



I bought a 02 Beetle TDI, great on gas mileage and MUCH cheaper to maintain! Plus, i can customize the little bug for pennies...
